Let us assure you that there will be plenty mistakes. Progress and learning will not occur without mistakes, so just get going...

As you can now move forward knowing that there will be mistakes, move gradually starting with smaller investments before moving on to larger ones.

Just remember, investing requires patience.

We would recommend you bring any deal you are considering to an ICES meeting and offer it up for discussion among the attendees. You can keep it as vague as you want and get some feedback. This is a great strength of ICES meetings as the attendees will not benefit financially from you taking or leaving the investment.
