“I guess it has made me focus my investments through a process of elimination as the Ices group bring in many speakers on different types of investments throughout the year and you can therefore choose which sits best for you”.

When I first heard about ICES, I thought this is exactly my way of thinking! Being the curious bastard that I am, I contacted Tony Reid to see if I could learn more about what ICES is all about.
That first meeting made me realise that I wasn't daft or mad after all, that there were some people in this world who actually shared a thinking process like my own!
After some time, Tony agreed to facilitate a number of Cashflow evenings in Castlebar, where I helped to round up the troops so to speak. The game of Cashflow is a terrific learning tool, which exposes you to thinking strategically, decision making and risk taking. All without the consequences of real life failure. However, the game certainly prepares you for what happens in real life, but the practice hones your ability to succeed and can reduce your risk of failure.
While attending the ICES meetings in Dublin, I made contact with numerous individuals and learned about how they were on a mission to get out of the rat race too.
The various speakers are always worth listening to, and I believe that if you come away from an ICES meeting with just 1 nugget of an idea or advice, that you can apply to your own life or business, it is well worth while.
To my mind, ICES is about people, ideas and advice and I salute Tony, Ian and Darrell for having the fire in their bellies to set it up.
ICES is a terrific forum for individuals, where people are encouraged to speak their minds freely to challenge regularly and above all to respect everyone.

Best wishes,

Tom....................keep shaving!

"The ICES forum is like a 'mentor', even though it is made up of many members. Because in any field, the fastest way to success, is to talk with people who are successful at it already. Its the regular meetings with this 'mentor' that was the key for me."
